Jacquelyn Bongard, OD

Dr. Jacquelyn Bongard graduated from the University of Missouri – Saint Louis optometry program in 2023, where she then completed her residency in Cornea and Contact Lens in 2024. Through her residency, she had the opportunity to manage and fit specialty contact lenses for keratoconus, ocular trauma, dry eye disease, myopia management, and more.

Currently, Dr. Bongard is involved in the American Academy of Optometry, where she has presented several posters, obtained her student fellowship, and is currently a candidate for fellowship. Dr. Bongard has also presented posters at the Heart of America Eye Care Congress and the Global Specialty Lens Symposium. In addition to presenting posters, she has also presented Continuing Education this spring to doctors at UMSL’s Spring into CE event. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric Association, and the Saint Louis Optometric Society.

Dr. Bongard grew up in Minnesota, moving south for school and to get away from the snow. In her free time she enjoys cooking and baking new foods, playing saxophone, traveling to new cultures, and cuddling with her cat, Ellie, while reading.
